THE EYE OF THE HORSE

Learn to take compelling photos of the eye of the horse! In this course you will learn how to take close up photos of horse's eyes that will capture all the depth and beauty that they have to offer. When the light is hitting a horse's eyes they have sparkle, depth and a faceted like jewels. It is no wonder photographers are drawn to them!

The course covers important composition and design techniques for these unique photos. We will teach you how to work with different lenses for different creative effects. We will work on how to control your focus precisely and get sharp critical focus. You'll learn which settings to use and important shooting techniques, all explained in easy to understand plain language.

Close up eye photos have a few key ideas for effective composition and design. Because the photos are close up detail shots every minute detail matters. This is a precision operation. Be prepared to be super observant and very patient. If you are detail oriented you are going to love taking these photos. You'll find the creative aspects in the subtleties.

REQUIREMENTS

• You must have access to horses to photograph outdoors
• You must have a DSLR camera.
• You may not use previously shot work for this course

• This course includes one written lesson in PDF format consisting of our best photography tips, detailed instructions, how-to video and a photo assignment.
• You will have two weeks including two weekends to work on your assignment.
• You can ask questions, post work in progress, ask for help or chat with your classmates or instructors as you work on your assignment. We are here to help and a lively discussion makes the class a richer experience for everyone.
• After shooting the assignment you will upload your photos to the website by the due date and we will critique your photos and give you helpful advice and tips.
• The class is open for a month and we can answer any follow up questions you have after the critiques.
